Add Version to CLI User-Agent Header · Entire
make a new PR off origin/main. what i want is for the user-agent this CLI sends to be not just 'entire-cli' but 'entire-cli/{version}'. We already should have this informatino available because entire version exists. don't rebuild, rely on that.
Done. PR: https://github.com/entireio/cli/pull/1489
Bottom line: Outbound requests now send User-Agent: entire-cli/<version> instead of bare entire-cli, reusing the existing version (no rebuild of version plumbing).
- Added
versioninfo.UserAgent()→ "entire-cli/" + Version. - Routed all four bare-
entire-cliUA call sites through it: api client,search, and both version-check fetches (the nightly one already inlined the version; now consistent). - Updated the matching tests to assert against
versioninfo.UserAgent(). - Left out of scope: coreapi and
git-remote-entirealready send their own versioned UAs; the other "entire-cli" literals (OAuth audience, basic-auth username, machine-id) aren't User-Agents. mise run fmt && lintclean; affected package tests pass.
0847cb9Send versioned User-Agent (entire-cli/{version})
Route every outbound User-Agent through versioninfo.UserAgent(), which
returns "entire-cli/
