checkpoint: drop redundant summary re-normalization

ReadCommittedCheckpoint re-normalized a summary that the underlying GitStore.ReadCommitted already normalizes, applying legacy-version defaulting a second time at the interface boundary. Defaulting belongs in the storage layer where persisted data is read, so trust the reader's contract here. Nil handling is unchanged, coming from the explicit guard above.
